Philip Jonathan is a North Yorkshire based artist, working in pencil drawing, collage and print. An MA Graduate of the University of Leeds' School of Fine Art, Philip says of his work:
'My drawings depict a world that is squashy-looking and often cluttered; a setting where the narrated story can be poetic, no matter how trivial it may seem.'
I set my 'instruction for waiting' to play upon the word 'settle'; Settle is also a picturesque and popular tourist destination here in Yorkshire (also Alan Bennet's adopted home!), which was in the news this week as so many people have been buying property there since the pandemic began.
